Pyrite

To introduce myself to you in regard to the rockhounding field:

Been a mineral collector for quite some time.  I have about  220 pieces that I officially call "my collection".  They are cataloged by a system that I've invented using 3 X 5 inch file cards in three different file boxes. I am also keeping information on a personal computer.

When I was young, my sister had found a rock in our backyard that had several glassy looking garnets in it.  I was fascinated by it, and this was the beginning of my desire to collect minerals.

I have experience in collecting and in lapidary (including tumbling and cabochon cutting).

I have written two articles in Rocks and Minerals magazine.

I am a member of my local mineral club.
